Media/Photography for Yelp @ Red Rooster https://www.wix.app/bookings/02620abd-6b49-47fb-acc2-c52446410f72/service/21161e8d-eda1-4c5c-99c2-ff8f8d8be56f/details?d=https://www.backroomsessions.com/service-page/media-photography-for-yelp-red-rooster Hey folks! Last minute add on the forum for anyone who is ready to get some hands-on media coverage experience tomorrow night! Additional insight: Often we recieve calls from contacts that need quick actions like this one. This event was presented to us about three days ago, a performer was booked yesterday, and tonight we're opening up the slot for media staffing. Ideally we have more than four days to put together a program, but when its within your power to step up to a call from a valuable contact, you agree to work on a time crunch! Call time is 5:30pm! The event is from 6-9pm. Get shots of the performance and ambiance. These photos will be used for promotion later on. You as the media person will have creative liberty to take and edit photos you're proud to have your name on and share with BRS when ready. We will then share with our audience and Yelp, our client! Deadline for photo submissions after the event is Feb 4th.

1. Create an EPK. This is an Electronic Press Kit. These are essentially resumes that creatives use in order to highlight their careers/projects. Sometimes they include a digital set of promotional material as well.  2. Create a line-up. We'd love to know who you want to see take the stage. Whether it's local or from out of town, there's no limit to how you create this program. 3. Create an event deck. Using the line-up as inspiration, create a deck that shows why your event is one for the books. Using a similar format to the EPK created in step 1, you will create a visual presentation of your event for potential venues, artists, or clients.  4. Create a ROS. Run of Shows are imperative to an on-time show and a successful production. These will be separated in time blocks with sets + changeovers outlined, as well as any intro/closing music.  5. Create Agreements. Agreements are important to protect yourself, the venue, the artists, and the project. These agreements create outlines for expectations throughout the engagement of the production. They serve as written reminders of the scope of work.  6. Create a Checklist. At this point in the production process, much of the back-end work has been completed and now we must move ahead at full speed. Creating a checklist will allow you to schedule your time and tasks in order to stay ahead of deadlines. They will also be used the day of the production for pre/post as they will outline the necessary equipment/team needed to fulfill the project.  7. Marketing Campaign + Roll Out. Regardless of how often you post, there will always be somebody that says they never saw the flyer. By creating a stunning visual set of marketing materials and having a content calendar to follow, you will be able to capture as many eyes as possible. Canva is a great platform for visual designs for both flyers and calendars. 8. Create a time-line. Creating events can be tricky and when time begins to be a factor, it can feel like quicksand. The more you try to shake things up, the more you can feel overwhelmed. Creating a timeline that visually allows you to see how much time has been spent and the time it takes to move things along will be a great lesson in understanding how these productions work. This timeline should begin at the start of Step 1 and finish at Step 12. It can be as simple as marking the dates down in which you start and finish tasks alongside future deadlines.  9. Set Goals. In the production world, as well as the real world, goal setting is imperative to success. Having a target to aim for aids in keeping us on track. A goal can be a venue you'd like to produce in, an artist you'd like to work with, a sponsor you'd like to land, or even a partnership you'd love to start. Physical and mental health goals are also important as they help us fulfil many of the aspirations we hold.  10. Record & Produce 1 piece of content with your team. Now we start getting into the grit of it with some on-field work. By now, you will have known your groups and began working with them a bit. These teams will be responsible for creating digital content as our studio or a location of their choosing. Examples of content we have shown in the past have been; Breakfast with Backroom, Lets See What Happen, and Rig Rundown. These are just meant for inspiration, as you all have creative freedom to create what you'd like. 11. Hands On Shadowing as an Event. You've learned a little something by this point, and you feel comfortable assisting in a production. Find a slot on the board to join and we'll create an event together.  12. Create & Produce 1 event with your team. The first quarter is coming to an end, we'd love to see a bit of what you learned by producing an event with your team. This is meant to be a starter project so keep in mind that a small production is perfect for this task to keep it short and simple. Should be light and fun, we will assist every step of the way.

Hey folks! Sorry for the abrupt ending, hope it gave some of you a giggle. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions that we did not cover during the meeting. We will be creating the Whatsapp chat on Monday as well as sending out email and website communications to outline what this quarters tasks are. Also on Monday, we will be letting you know what groups you will begin to work with based on the pitch you wrote at the U2S meeting. Thanks for the feedback on how we can make this a smoother experience for you! We'll be working on fixing the few bugs on our end and include a more detailed explanation on signing up for events in our next email.

Hey folks! We're working to make this Internship Program like none other and that means working out some kinks along the way as we optimze this experince for you all :) Thank you for being part of this with us and we look forward to making this a memorable time for all of us. We have opened a Board to allow you all to book time slots for the Perez Art Musem to start and by next week for our In-person + Virtual hours together. These hours will be conducted by Zoom when virtual, and onsite at Up 2 Something Studios in Wynwood or Taco Times & More by FIU. This allows us to give you an option on location with some slots open in the morning and others at night to further accomodate the group. As the program unfolds, there will be more options open and available that are issued from our end to make the system fully accesible for our communications, appointments, and projects. Any questions, make sure to throw them here so we can answer them for everybody. Thank you and excited to be doing all this for you all. - Backroom Sessions Team P.S this wont be anything like Squid Games but we did like the GIF for this section
